Before You Arrive
A little preparation goes a long way toward a smooth first visit:
- Patient forms are available to complete online in advance — or fill them out at the office if you prefer, and we will have everything ready for you
- If you have insurance, our team will verify your benefits before your appointment so you arrive knowing exactly what to expect
- We are located at 9601 Amberdale Drive, near Rockwood Park at the junction of Hull Street and Courthouse Road, with free parking on site
- Plan to arrive a few minutes early if you can — it gives you a chance to settle in before anything begins

When You Arrive
From the moment you walk in, you will be greeted warmly and made to feel at home. There is no rushing, no sense that you are one of many people moving through a schedule. You will be seen as a person, not an appointment.
If nerves brought you here today, that is okay. Let us know when you check in and our team will make sure Dr. Patel is prepared to meet you exactly where you are.

Getting Comfortable
Before anything clinical begins, you will have a chance to settle in. The treatment rooms are calm and quiet, and a few things are available to make your time in the chair more comfortable:
- Cozy blankets to help you relax
- Headphones to tune out and ease in
- In-room TVs so you can follow along with your treatment in real time
If there is anything else that would help, just ask.

Meeting Dr. Patel
Dr. Patel will introduce herself and take time to get to know you before she does anything else. She will ask about:
- Your dental history and any past experiences worth knowing about
- What has been on your mind or causing you concern
- What you are hoping to get out of your care going forward
She listens, and what you share will shape everything that follows. If you have had difficult experiences with dentistry before, tell her. She will not rush past it. She will ask what you are feeling, slow down, and work entirely at your pace. For patients who need additional support, laughing gas is available to help you feel calm and comfortable throughout.

Your Exam
Once you are ready, our dental assistant will take digital X-rays and any necessary scans to build a complete, accurate picture of your oral health. Dr. Patel will then conduct a comprehensive clinical exam, using cone beam imaging and intraoral cameras to show you exactly what she sees in real time — and talk you through her findings as she goes. Nothing will be left unexplained.
Your first visit exam covers:
- A full clinical examination of your teeth, gums, and surrounding tissues
- Digital X-rays for a precise look at what is happening beneath the surface
- An oral cancer screening
- A review of anything that may need monitoring or treatment

Your Treatment Plan
After your exam, Dr. Patel will walk you through her findings honestly and in plain language. If something needs attention, she will explain:
- What it is and why it matters
- What your options are
- What she recommends, and why
If everything looks good, she will tell you that too. You will leave with a clear picture of your oral health and a treatment plan that reflects your actual needs — not a list of every possible procedure. Every recommendation is guided by one standard: what is genuinely best for your long-term health.

Checking Out
At checkout, our team will take care of everything you need before you head out:
- A summary of Dr. Patel's findings and any recommended next steps
- Confirmation of your insurance coverage and any associated costs
- Information on payment plans or financing if that would be helpful
There are no awkward conversations here — just straightforward information and genuine support.

Your Next Visit
Before you leave, we will help you schedule your next appointment so your care stays on track. A few things to know:
- Most patients return every six months for a routine cleaning and check-up
- If follow-up treatment has been recommended, your care coordinator will help you map out a timeline that works around your schedule
- You will receive a reminder before your next visit to make staying on-track with your dental health even easier
